Honestly, I'd be the first to admit that Yané is little more than a glorified extra in The Phantom Menace. However, she can be glimpsed throughout a sizable chunk of the film. So, here is a Phantom Menace viewing guide that points out all the good parts of the film - the scenes with Yane! lol.

Please bear in mind that this is a guide for the *widescreen* version of The Phantom Menace. In the horrid Pan&Scan version some of the following Yané sightings are completely cut out. A little *ahem* rant, The Horrors of Pan&Scan!, details all the Pan&Scan cuts.

Palace Scenes...

	<<<The throne room scene... In this scene, you can spy Yané seated behind Panaka.
Descending grand staircase...All the HMs are present in this scene. Yané is near the back of the group. I believe that she can be seen briefly in this shot, but as with most of her scenes, she is quite blurry.>>>

External Naboo scenes...

...enroute to "camp four"

<<<Descending external stairs and walking through Naboo...In these shots the HMs retain a formation: two in the front, three in the back. Yané is in the middle of the second row of HMs.

...Jedi to the Rescue!

Jedi wipe out the battle droid guards...During the little skirmish between QGJ/OB1 and the battle droids, there are fleeting glimpses of the HMs, but no substantial shot of Yané.>>>
	<<<Let's get outta here!...Before the group turns to make their escape a glimpse of Yané's turned head is in the shot.
QGJ yaps with Sio Bibble scene...Yané can be seen on the right in this shot. She is just to the right of OB1 [lucky girl! ;-)] and to the left of Sabé (the decoy queen in the black feathers).>>>
	<<<This is the infamous "Yané acts silly" scene. (She walks into the frame smiling and then quickly stops grinning and affects the sombre HM-like aura.)

Hangar Scenes...

"We are brave your highness" ...This is the scene where Padmé utters the words "We are brave your highness" to Sabé (decoy queen extraordinaire). Yané can be seen right behind Padmé.>>>

(INTERMISSION) Sorry folks, Yané is no where to be seen for a while, so take this opportunity to visit the restroom or pop another bowl of popcorn.

	<<<Welcome Back, Palpy!... Major point here: Candice Orwell is NOT in this scene. However, a couple standmaidens (stand in handmaiden) can be seen prominently here. It pleases me to assume that one of the standmaidens is supposed to be Yané ... so, I do.
Qui's Funeral...If you pay attention, in the very beginning of this scene, there is a brief (very very brief) glimpse of four HMs against the back wall. One of these HMs could very well be Yané <--- wishful thinking.>>>
	<<<The Disco Ball Parade (AKA The Celebration Scene)...Yané can indeed be seen in the last part of the flick. In this scene, she is on the far right of the screen. In this particular pic, Yané is behind Panaka.
